1. Enter your name as per the medical council registration record to enable a seamless process to get CME credit points in future.
2. Enter your Whatsapp number if it is different from your primary mobile number.
3. Have scanned copies of your
a. Recent passport size photograph
b. Govt issued ID with address like Aadhar / Driving License / Voter ID
c. Under and Post Graduate degree certificates as a single PDF file
d. Medical Council registration certificate (Incl. Additional Qualifications if applicable)
4. You will need a verbal consent from your proposer and seconder along with their TNOA registration numbers. Once your application is complete they will receive an email requesting their formal consent for your TNOA membership. Kindly remind them to click on the link in the email to give their consent.
5. Once the proposer and seconder give their consent your application will be approved by the TNOA secretariat and you will receive a confirmation email to this regard along with the link to make the payment for the membership
6. Once payment is made your TNOA registration number will be automatically generated and sent to your email.
7. You will then be able to log into the members area on www.tnoa.info where your membership certificate and ID card will be available for download.
8. Members who meet the following criteria will be ratified in the subsequent General Body Meeting as “Ratified Life Members”.
a. Medical practitioners who are Indian citizens
b. Domiciled in Tamil Nadu and Union Territory of Puducherry as evinced by a government issued proof of residence (Aadhar card, Voter ID, Passport &c)
c. Hold a post graduate degree in Ophthalmology
d. Have the post graduate additional qualification registered with TNMC
Any member who does not meet one or more of the above criteria will be an Associate member until they submit the evidence that they meet the above criteria and then be ratified in the subsequent general body meeting.
Associate members are eligible to take part in all academic activities of the association and win contested awards, but are not eligible to take part in the electoral process.
